The Western Sea is actually an artificially created sea and is Coruscant's only body of water. There are also many artificial islands that float on barges anchored to the bottom of this artificial sea.

Bestine, the "capital" of Tatooine, is situated far west of Mos Eisley near the south-western Dune Sea.

The Dune Sea is a huge sandy desert, near the cities of Anchorhead, Mos Eisley and Tosche Station. It is inhabited solely by Tusken Raiders, Jawas, wraids, dewbacks and the occasional Krayt dragon. Moisture farmers often have many moisture vaporators located in the Dune Sea to collect the scarce water vapor from the air.

A planet of stark and rugged beauty, Bal'demnic is located in the Auril sector of the Outer Rim, in the Bak'rofsen system. With its sea-covered surface speckled with small tropical beach islands, it could have been the most desired tourist location in the galaxy. However, a tourist trade can hardly co-exist with a native noisome reptilian species known as the Kon'me.

Secluded from Galactic turmoil by its location in a little-visited sector of space, Bespin is an astrophysical rarity. An immense gas giant surrounded by a number of moons, the planet contains a band of habitable atmosphere among its endless clouds.

Cato Neimoidia, a key world of the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Neimoidians who manage the Trade Federation, is one of the wealthiest worlds in the galaxy. Its polished skylines are suspended upon gently swaying bridges, feats of architectural wonder spanning the fog-shrouded valleys of the mountainous world

Home planet of the gregarious Corellians, Corellia is a world renowned for its impressive shipwrights who build large, speedy and powerful vessels. Corellia has also earned an infamous reputation for the many pirate raids carried out in nearby trade routes.

A distant, mist-shrouded swamp planet, Dagobah does not appear in any modern starcharts. It is a forgotten world, and it was the home of the last remaining Jedi Master and Council member from the waning days of the Republic.

Secluded in a remote corner of the Outer Rim Territories, the gas giant Endor and its verdant moon of the same name would easily have been overlooked by a busy galaxy were it not for the decisive battle that occurred there. Endor serves as the gravesite of both Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. It was here that the Rebel Alliance began the path of victory over the Galactic Empire.

Once a major holding of the Commerce Guild, Felucia was a world teeming with fungal life-forms and immense primitive plants.

A harsh rocky world less than a parsec away from Tatooine, Geonosis is a ringed planet beyond the borders of the Galactic Republic. Its uninviting surface is marked by mesas and buttes, and barren stretches of parched desert hardpan.

Haruun Kal is the sole planet of the Al'Har system. The name, coined by its indigenous human population, translates into "Above the Clouds." The apt description stems from the choking, heavier-than-air toxic gases that seep from the planet's innumerable active volcanoes.

Hoth is the sixth planet in the remote system of the same name. It is a world of snow and ice, surrounded by numerous moons. Small meteorites that have wandered away from a nearby asteroid field constantly pelt Hoth's icy surface.

Concealed within the caverns of a frigid, mountainous world of Ilum are precious crystals that form the heart of the Jedi lightsaber. From the most ancient days of the Jedi order, initiates have journeyed to Ilum to find the crucial components for their weapons.

Jabiim was a world that the Republic ignored until it was too late. The world had been part of the Galactic Republic for 3,000 years. It had paid its due taxes to Coruscant, but remained undefended when calamity befell it. The scourge of Brainrot Plague decimated the populace. Garrulous Trandoshan bandits invaded and occupied their lands before moving on. Lythian Pirates besieged their small communities. Each time, the Jabiimites had to defend themselves.

Kamino is a planet of tumultuous oceans and endless storms. Few features mark its surface, save for massive stilt-mounted cities wherein reside the planet's natural inhabitants, the Kaminoans.

Kashyyyk is a lush jungle planet where treetops serve as homes for the native Wookiees, a towering fur-covered species known to be ferocious warriors. The planet serves as a navigation gateway for the entire southwest quadrant of the galaxy, making it of prime strategic importance.

The infamous world of Kessel is known for its dreaded mines, hard labor correctional facilities where convicts are often sent to extract valuable spice from the rock. Smugglers have established a secret route in and out of the system called the Kessel Run.

Mimban is the fifth planet in the Circarpous system, in the Expansion Region. It is a cloud-covered jungle world that is largely unexplored, orbited by two moons.

Located in the Outer Rim, the tiny planet of Mustafar is a fiery world where lava is mined like a precious natural resource. Its bleak landscape is a visual assault of jagged obsidian mountains with towering fountains of fire and lava blasting from beneath the surface.

Seen from space, the planet Mon Calamari appears as a tranquil deep blue orb with few landmasses. Despite the inherently peaceful nature of the native species that shares its name with the world, the endless oceans have been stained by bloody war on many occasions.

One of the wealthiest worlds in the galaxy, Muunilinst was the home of the InterGalactic Banking Clan. The native Muuns turned the world into an immense center of commerce, despite its distance from the Galactic Core.

A frigid world of crystallized ice, Mygeeto was a major holding of the InterGalactic Banking Clan that became a battle site during the Outer Rim Sieges of the Clone Wars.

Despite being well within the borders of the Old Republic, and having been on official registries for more than 300 years, the planet Myrkr has been steadfastly avoided by the Jedi Knights.

An idyllic world close to the border of the Outer Rim Territories, Naboo is inhabited by peaceful humans known as the Naboo, and an indigenous species of intelligent amphibians called the Gungans.

A twisted mirroring of the planet-encasing cities of Coruscant, Nar Shaddaa is the Huttese name for the over-urbanized planetoid known commonly as the Smugglers' Moon.

The homeoworld of the Hutts, Its sawmpy bloated terrain mirrors the appearence of the native species.

A planet in the Koobi star system, Nelvaan is a primitive world of low gravity experiencing the onset of an ice age.

A jumbled collection of lazily floating asteroids, Polis Massa is a small Outer Rim mining settlement far removed from the more populated areas of the galaxy. The airless rocks are host to sealed outposts inhabited by the strangely silent Polis Massan aliens

The small, red world of Rattatak floats in the far Outer Rim like a drop of blood. The planet is so remote that it remained undiscovered by the Republic, and the native humanoid species evolved without the guidance or influence of other galactic forces.

As commercial forces spread throughout the galaxy, consuming planetfuls of raw materials to support a modern Republic, many wasteland worlds were left in the wake. Raxus Prime, a world in the Outer Rim, is an example of a world forever poisoned by industry.

An ancient world long the stuff of spacer legend, Roon is a mysterious planet surrounded by a belt of moonlets, asteroids and other cosmic debris.

A barren desert world marked with strange bulbous plant-life, Saleucami was a major battle site during the Outer Rim Sieges of the Clone Wars.

Tammuz-an is a double-ringed planet. Its inhabitants are tall, purple-skinned humanoids and govern themselves through monarchy.

Tyne's Horky is a small, uneventful mining planet on the frontier. The economy of the planet revolves around keschel, a precious metal. Even rarer were deposits of nergon 14, a volatile mineral used in Imperial proton torpedoes.

A simple clerical error in the Old Republic planetary registry lost the planet Wayland from all known charts, and doomed the expeditionary vessel seeking to settle a colony there. Once on Wayland, the colonists were on their own, completely forgotten in the unfathomable bureaucracy of the Republic.

Ringed by numerous moons, the remote sanctuary of Utapau is a planet pitted with enormous sinkholes. Its windswept surface is dry and desert-like, but deep in the porous crust, at the bottom of the sinkhole are pools of life-giving water. Many of the sinkholes on one of the planet's small continents are lined with intricate cities that stretch deep into caves and crevices beneath the planet's surface.
